I follow this guy Mrinal on Twitter who keeps posting things he builds from first principles. I liked the idea and quickly understood how difficult it is, so I’m starting slow and learning things as I go. I came across this website, Backend from first principles, which made me try out new things to build. I built a router, did a deep dive on how routers work, and lo and behold, came across Trie and Radix Tree concepts. Now I’m trying to build them from the basics and will keep posting updates here.

I also bought the bhavansh.com domain. One thing I’ve learned is that if I put money into something, I feel ashamed to see it go to waste. This will ensure that I remain consistent and keep posting stuff here. Maybe in the future, I will link this to Twitter somehow; I don’t know yet.

I’ve also started doing LeetCode and system design interview prep. I can’t be lacking and mediocre in the age of AI when learning things is so easy.
